Design Blog:
As most people will tell you, having a degree is only half the battle when it comes to securing design work these days. It’s not quite enough to help you stand on its own. If you want to get ahead of everyone else (which, considering that you’re reading this blog, we’ll assume you do) then you have to get some design work experience under your belt.
Easier said than done though, right? Finding design work experience these days can feel kind of hopeless – unless you’re willing to spend the summer in an unpaid internship. And even those can be difficult to stumble across; it’s a catch-22 as old as time: in order to gain design work experience, you have to have work experience already.
…But fear not! Despite the semi-apocalyptic tone of this article so far, it’s not completely hopeless. If there’s one thing we specialise in at Do More Design, it’s securing designers work experience. We’ve represented all sorts of businesses looking for logos, from football clubs to candle shops, and our competitions are incredibly easy to enter. If you’re a student or recent graduate looking for some design work experience, here are a few of the reasons you should give us a go.
