BAARN is a new arm of Roderick James Architecture. It’s an offering of multiple timber-frame kit-houses that are beautiful, affordable and adaptable. All come with sustainable energy systems, high levels of insulation, underfloor heating. Most notably, all include an emphasis on inventive use of natural light.
Naturally their brand would be getting in front of a lot of eyes. So we ensured their project was in the eye-line of the wealth of new UK designers on our platform.
Do More Design was tasked with the brief of creating a brand logo for BAARN. The themes for the brand were simple, modern, quietly sophisticated and clean. The ethos of the RJA brand made other obvious themes. For example the natural sustainable materials being used. But the main underlying theme was the fact that the logo was to represent award winning designers.
The team at Roderick James Architecture shared that they had a particular font that they liked and throughout the course of the project. They provided feedback to the entrants which really helped steer the correct direction. In the end there were over 95 submissions to the project so the RJA team were provided with a vast amount of choice.
