About Bantam Hats: Bantam is redefining the casual hat for a new generation. We've created a unisex brimmed hat design aimed to suit as many head shapes and face types as possible. The hat will be available in 4 sizes, and wide variety of fabrics, colours and patterns. The versatile design will lend itself to a wide range of occasions e.g a practical beach hat - an eye-catching festival hat - an elegant evening wear hat - a warm or rainproof winter hat The products will be sold exclusively online via our own website, Amazon, and selected marketplaces in UK + USA + Australia right from the start. Our primary marketing techniques will be Social Media/PR and Events/Popups. Pricing is mid-premium e.g. £40 for a cotton outdoor hat to £60 for a velvet fashion hat The initial target market is affluent young professionals, aged 25-35, who are early adopters of DTC brands (e.g. Warby Parker, Away) and who are liberal and environmentally conscious (Toms, Allbirds) We've identified Boutique Festivals and Independent Travel as key differentiating activities for this group. Logo design: A Bantam is a type of small chicken, so we will be using this symbol for our logo mark. We are looking for a written logo and logo mark which is robust enough for all use-cases: Printed on fabric Embroidered on fabric Woven label Social media profiles Website and email The elements must be available to use separately, and combined: Word only Word boxed Mark only Mark boxed Mark, with word below, boxed Word, with mark to left or right, boxed The logo will need to work in a number of colour ways in the future: Black on white + white on black Red on cream + cream on red Monochrome debossed / stitched (e.g. Raised black lettering on a black background) Multi-colour e.g. pride rainbow For this reason we suggest a robust font weight for the text, and a highly stylised block image for the mark rather than detailed sketches or a line drawings, so they could retain some degree of fidelity in all use cases (e.g. embroidered, rubber stamped).
